IMS 2025
SAN FRANCISCO, US
This year, Wupatec will have the chance not only to have a joint demo but also a joint workshop with Mitsubishi Electric, showcasing our latest technological results by working together. We hope to see you there. Keep updated with our social media!
DEMO 2025

We will be located at booth #2043, partnering with Dassault Systèmes.

This year, we will present the results of a strong partnership. Mitsubishi Electric will show its advancements in its power amplifier module, highlighting outstanding power efficiency performances using GaN technology. On our side, we will use our test solution based on the RFSoC and adapted specifically for these kinds of measurements to display such performances.
This combination of different expertises, Mitsubishi Electric from Japan and Wupatec from France, will feature first-time-ever figures that will set the base for 5G-Advanced base stations.
In collaboration with AMD, this demonstration uses the latest Zynq™ UltraScale+™ RFSoC DFE (evaluation board ZCU670) together with AMD’s latest DPD and CFR IP. With Wupatec’s firmware, the RFSoC DFE is controlled using IVCAD Suite Software from Dassault Systèmes (prior IQSTAR developped by AMCAD Engineering), which allows a comprehensive characterization of the RF power amplifier module in an environment close to the final implementation of the radio unit.
WORKSHOP 2025

WSJ-6
Sunday 15th June
« How to Ensure Flexible and Efficient Use of Spectrum, from Advanced 5G Doherty Power Amplifiers to Digitally Assisted Wideband PA for 6G BTS »
Emmanuel Gatard, Peter Abdelmalak, Stéphane Dellier, Shuichi Sakata, Takuma Torii and Shintaro Shinjo

This workshop brings together Mitsubishi Electric and WUPATEC to explore cutting-edge developments in RF front-end and digital signal processing technologies. Through this collaborative session, we will share expertise on high-efficiency power amplifier design with its advanced test platform solution.
Together with both the development of device technologies and the integration of analog and digital circuits, advanced power amplifier architectures have evolved to deal with ever-increasing system-level requirements, making joint optimization of digital and analog parts mandatory. In this workshop, wideband RF PA and digital integration up to digitally assisted power amplifiers are introduced, and the designs and evaluations for wideband operation are shown for 5G advanced and 6G BTS.
This workshop belongs to the workshop series WSJ: Advanced Power Amplifier Design for Sub-20 GHz Wireless Infrastructure.

As the demand for high-speed wireless communication continues to grow, efficient PA design becomes critical for supporting modern communications network infrastructure, especially in the sub-20GHz spectrum (FR1 and FR3 bands). This workshop will delve into comprehensive design and development of power amplifiers (PAs) for sub-20GHz base station applications. The latest processes and technologies will be covered, focusing on semiconductor advances that drive power handling, linearity, and efficiency. Participants will explore theory and modeling principles to predict performance and optimize PA designs for various operational scenarios. The session will also emphasize architecture and design techniques, addressing key challenges such as linearity, efficiency, and bandwidth. Finally, the workshop will cover module design and integration, where participants will learn about packaging considerations and thermal management to ensure optimal performance in real-world deployments. This workshop is ideal for RF engineers, circuit designers, and researchers aiming to enhance their expertise in cutting-edge PA technology for wireless infrastructure. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of key PA architecture and design techniques through interactive sessions with practical case studies.
We hope to see you there!
