Wupatec was created in 2016 as a spin-off from AMCAD Engineering, with a clear ambition: bring together RF power amplification and advanced digital signal processing within a single engineering core.
The company’s early work focused on high-efficiency GaN amplifiers, Doherty architectures, and envelope tracking technologies, leading to multiple patents in RF system efficiency optimization.

From Limoges and Toulouse, the team expanded its expertise to system-level RF front-ends and digital control platforms, supporting telecom, defense, space, and equipment manufacturers with architectures designed for performance, stability, and efficiency.

Wupatec designs RF and digital front-end systems that address real operational constraints across 5G/6G, O-RAN, radar, and New Space applications.
Our work spans the full chain:

  • High-efficiency GaN power amplifiers (Doherty, wideband, hybrid high-power modules in sub-6 GHz up to mmWave)

  • Digital front-end architectures (expertise with RFSoC Zynq Ultrascale+, ADI transceivers, high-speed DAC/ADC)

  • Real-time signal processing (DPD, CFR, filtering, synchronization)

  • FPGA-based control for radar modules, channel acquisition, transmitter synchronization and data transfer

  • Integrated test and characterization platforms supporting complex waveforms and telecom standards to test client’s full setup

This combined RF + digital expertise allows us to deliver scalable, application-ready systems with high performance and predictable behavior across wide bandwidths.

Wupatec is currently engaged in several R&D strategic programs shaping the next generation of wireless infrastructures.
This includes:

  • Flexible and sovereign 5G–6G radio units with improved efficiency and reduced environmental impact

  • Ka-band MMICs for 5G FR2 and LEO satellite communication systems

  • Advanced radar systems, integrating wideband RF chains with FPGA-based beamforming and real-time module control

  • FR3 developments for future telecom architectures and high-frequency innovation

These projects strengthen Wupatec’s role in emerging RF technologies and support European technological sovereignty across critical communication systems.
