This year, we present an updated live demonstration focused on FR3 measurement workflows for 5G-Advanced and 6G applications. Mitsubishi Electric showcases its GaN Doherty Power Amplifier module, while Wupatec provides its RFSoC-based measurement platform together with the product version of the FR3 Extension Board.

The setup demonstrates how an RFSoC platform operating up to 7 GHz can be extended into the FR3 frequency range, enabling wideband signal generation, acquisition, characterization and digital linearization workflows in conditions close to next-generation radio unit implementations.

This joint demonstration combines Mitsubishi Electric’s expertise in GaN power amplifier technology with Wupatec’s know-how in RFSoC-based test and measurement platforms. Together, the setup addresses key challenges for 5G-Advanced prototyping, 6G testing, RF front-end validation, OTA testing and power amplifier characterization.

Built around the AMD Zynq™ UltraScale+™ RFSoC DFE ZCU670, the demonstration integrates AMD’s DPD and CFR IP. With Wupatec’s firmware, the RFSoC DFE is controlled through the IVCAD Suite Software from Dassault Systèmes, enabling a complete measurement workflow from signal generation and acquisition to GaN Power Amplifier characterization and digital linearization.
