The 2025 edition of European Microwave Week (EuMW) took place in Utrecht from 21 to 26 September, bringing together key players in RF, microwave and wireless technologies. For Wupatec, it was an opportunity to meet engineers, researchers, and partners from across the industry to discuss the future of high-efficiency RF systems and emerging FR3 frequency bands.
A joint demonstration with Mitsubishi Electric
At Booth C051, Wupatec showcased a live demonstration with Mitsubishi Electric, focusing on the efficiency breakthroughs achieved in the FR3 band (7.125–24.25 GHz). The setup combined Mitsubishi Electric’s GaN power amplifier module with Wupatec’s RFSoC-based test solution, designed to extend measurement, characterisation, and linearization capabilities for next-generation RF systems.
This collaboration demonstrated how advanced co-design approaches between hardware and digital control can push the limits of power efficiency and linearity in high-frequency applications. The results presented during the event underline promising perspectives for 5G-Advanced and beyond.
Engaging discussions and new collaborations
Throughout the week, Wupatec’s engineers and business team had the opportunity to exchange with numerous visitors on topics such as:
RF system design and testing challenges,
Digital linearization and measurement accuracy,
The evolution of RF front-end architectures for Open RAN and 6G.
These conversations not only reinforced existing partnerships but also opened new collaboration paths for future RF development projects.
