From Toulouse to Taiwan: WUPATEC selected for the 2026 TAcc+ International SpaceTech Program
An international opportunity often begins with a local connection.
In March 2026, WUPATEC took part in a meeting with the Taiwanese space sector organised by Aerospace Valley at B612 in Toulouse. A few months later, WUPATEC was selected to join the 2026 TAcc+ International SpaceTech Startup Supporting Program in Taiwan.
This selection illustrates the concrete role that innovation clusters can play in connecting smaller technology companies with international ecosystems.
A first connection created by Aerospace Valley
On 9 March 2026, Aerospace Valley brought together French and Taiwanese organisations involved in the space sector.
The event provided an overview of both ecosystems, with presentations from GIFAS, CNES, Aerospace Valley and ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute), followed by short presentation pitches from Taiwanese and French companies.
For WUPATEC, this event was an opportunity to discover Taiwan’s aerospace sector and hear for the first time about the TAcc+ International SpaceTech Startup Supporting Program. This gave a better understanding of the possibilities offered by Taiwan’s space and technology ecosystem.
Taiwan is developing strong capabilities in the space sector around the payload and satellite manufacturing ecosystem, very much in line with their historical domains of application (electronics, semiconductors, and RF technologies). These areas are particularly relevant to WUPATEC, which develops RF and digital front-end solutions for telecommunications (5G/6G NTN), defense, and New Space applications.
WUPATEC selected among 12 international companies
Following a competitive application and selection process, WUPATEC was chosen as one of the 12 international companies joining the 2026 program.
Only two French companies appear in the final selection: WUPATEC and SpaceLocker.
The TAcc+ International SpaceTech Startup Supporting Program is designed to connect international SpaceTech companies with Taiwan’s industrial, technological and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The selected companies will benefit from opportunities including:
- Meetings with companies from Taiwan’s space industry and supply chain
- Connections with the local startup and innovation ecosystem
- Opportunities to explore technological and commercial cooperation
- Participation in conferences and events related to the space and semiconductors sectors.
WUPATEC will take part in the program in Taiwan from 13 October to 9 November 2026.
For the team, this immersion will provide an opportunity to meet local industrial and technological partners, better understand the Taiwanese space ecosystem, and explore potential collaborations.
The value of a strong innovation ecosystem
This opportunity would probably not have reached WUPATEC without the meeting organised by Aerospace Valley.
For smaller technology companies, international development is not only a question of having the right expertise or solution. It also depends on gaining access to the right networks, understanding new markets and meeting organisations that can turn a first conversation into a concrete opportunity.
This is precisely where clusters such as Aerospace Valley create value. By bringing together startups, SMEs, major industrial companies, research organisations and international partners, they help innovations move beyond their original ecosystem.
WUPATEC had already benefited from this support earlier in 2026, when the company took part in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona through an Aerospace Valley initiative and received the MWC Innovation Award.
The selection for the TAcc+ program marks a new step in this journey and demonstrates how long-term involvement in a regional ecosystem can open doors internationally.
