SPACE DEBRIS DETECTION RADAR
LOW-COST RADAR WITH BEAMFORMING
This project focused on building an FMCW radar able to detect moving targets on land, at sea, and in the air over a 1-kilometre range. The system had to remain reliable in all weather conditions while keeping overall cost and complexity under control.
ALMA: ATACAMA LARGE MILLIMETER/SUBMILLIMETER ARRAY
ALMA is one of the world’s most powerful radio telescopes, operating from the Atacama Desert in Chile at 5,000 meters of altitude. With 66 antennas working together through interferometry, it captures radio signals from 30 GHz to nearly 1 THz, revealing cold molecular clouds, star formation, and distant galaxies from the early universe.
